Terms & Conditions + Cancellation Policy

1. Role of Curated by Dot

Curated by Dot acts as a travel advisor and intermediary between clients and travel suppliers (including but not limited to airlines, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, tour operators, and transportation providers).

By booking through Curated by Dot, you acknowledge that:

All travel services are fulfilled by third-party suppliers

Curated by Dot does not own, operate, or control these suppliers

Curated by Dot is not liable for supplier actions, errors, delays, or service failures

2. Booking & Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed once a deposit or full payment is submitted and accepted by the supplier

Clients will receive confirmations, itineraries, and relevant travel documents after booking

It is the client’s responsibility to review all documents for accuracy and notify Curated by Dot of any discrepancies within 24 hours

3. Payment Terms

Payment schedules (deposit + final payment) are determined by the travel supplier

Full payment must be completed by the supplier’s stated deadline to avoid cancellation

Accepted payment methods will be outlined during the booking process

Failure to submit payment on time may result in automatic cancellation by the supplier, which Curated by Dot is not responsible for

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellations are subject to the individual supplier’s cancellation policies and penalties

Curated by Dot does not set or control refund amounts, timelines, or fees

Any refunds (if applicable) will be issued directly by the supplier, not Curated by Dot

By booking, you acknowledge:

Cancellation penalties may result in partial or full loss of funds

Supplier policies vary by travel type (flights, hotels, cruises, packages, etc.)

5. Changes to Bookings

Any changes requested after booking (dates, names, accommodations, etc.) are subject to: Supplier approval Supplier change fees Potential price differences

Curated by Dot is not responsible for additional costs resulting from changes.

6. Travel Insurance (Strongly Recommended)

Travel insurance is highly recommended for all bookings. Due to the strict policies associated with airfare, travel insurance is especially recommended when flights are included in your booking.

Coverage may include:

Trip cancellations or interruptions

Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR)

Medical emergencies

Travel delays or lost baggage

For maximum coverage options, insurance should typically be purchased within 14 days of initial deposit.

Insurance Waiver

If you choose to decline travel insurance, you will be required to sign a waiver acknowledging that:

You were offered travel insurance

You understand the risks of traveling without coverage

You accept full financial responsibility for any losses

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

Ensuring valid passports (typically 6+ months beyond travel dates)

Obtaining visas (if required)

Meeting all health, vaccination, and entry requirements

Arriving on time for flights, transfers, and excursions

Curated by Dot is not responsible for denied boarding, entry restrictions, or missed travel due to failure to meet requirements.

8. Excursions & Third-Party Activities

If excursions, tours, or activities are included or recommended:

These are operated by third-party providers

Participation is at the client’s discretion

Curated by Dot is not liable for:

Injury, loss, damages, or delays during excursions

Quality or safety of third-party experiences

Changes, cancellations, or disputes with excursion providers

9. Force Majeure (Uncontrollable Events)

Curated by Dot is not responsible for disruptions caused by events beyond control, including but not limited to:

Weather conditions

Natural disasters

Government actions or travel restrictions

Strikes or labor disputes

Pandemics or public health emergencies

In such cases, all resolutions are subject to the supplier’s policies.

10. Limitation of Liability

Curated by Dot shall not be held liable for:

Supplier errors or omissions

Schedule changes or cancellations

Personal injury, loss, or damages during travel

Financial losses due to cancellations or disruptions

By booking, you agree to hold Curated by Dot harmless from any claims arising from supplier performance or travel-related incidents.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any concerns or disputes should first be addressed directly with Curated by Dot in writing.

Curated by Dot will make reasonable efforts to assist in resolving issues with suppliers but does not guarantee outcomes.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting payment or confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you:

Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

Agree to all policies outlined above

Accept the role of Curated by Dot as an intermediary

13. Pricing & Availability

All pricing is subject to change until a deposit or full payment is received and processed

Travel pricing (especially flights, hotels, and packages) is dynamic and may change at any time based on: Availability Demand Supplier adjustments

Curated by Dot does not guarantee pricing until the booking is officially secured with payment.

By proceeding with a booking, you acknowledge:

Quotes are not locked in until payment is made

Price increases may occur prior to booking confirmation

Curated by Dot is not responsible for pricing changes made by suppliers

14. Airfare Terms & Conditions

Airfare bookings are subject to strict airline rules and restrictions.

By booking flights through Curated by Dot, you acknowledge:

Most airline tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable

Changes to flights may result in: Airline change fees Fare differences (which can increase the total cost)

Additional notes:

Name changes or corrections may not be permitted or may incur fees

Seat selection, baggage fees, and upgrades may be additional and controlled by the airline

Airlines may change flight schedules, routes, or times at their discretion

Curated by Dot is not responsible for:

Airline schedule changes or cancellations

Additional airline-imposed fees

Missed flights due to late arrival or personal circumstances
